Read my story "Jennies" in Dark Tidings: Tales to Read by the Fire, on sale on amazon for only 99 cents.

The hybrids live in the shadows, neither human nor the mythical lycans, freaks, hiding from both parts of themselves just to stay alive. Lola Moreno finds out that she is a hybrid after being attacked by a punk band-pack of werewolves. Narrowly escaping death, Jones DelaGuarda, guides her through this new world of east village squats, strange beauty and life on the run.
She should be afraid. They are monsters, misshapen and strange, but instead she is drawn to them, and they are drawn to her. But is the pull just this strange power she feels rising inside of her? Some call her “the chosen one,” some call her dangerous, as they discover this frightening power she has over their very will. She’s not sure if it’s true, or if these impossible feelings she feels for Jones are just part of this strange magic and not real at all. She chooses not to. Not to at all.
When the specter of the lycans on the hunt comes too near, the hybrids send Lola away, to start her lonely life on the run, but it’s too late. She’s found a home and it’s with them. And the lycans have found her. The lycans have found the hybrid safe house and all are in mortal risk, unless Lola finally accepts the monster inside of herself, and becomes the hero they all need.
Girl of Freaks is a 100k word urban fantasy stand alone novel with the potential for a trilogy, Little Gods and Monsters, and ready for representation.

I've forgotten everything I've ever learned about how to tell stories and I just tell the stories now.
